Program Overview

Leadership encompasses the ability of an individual, group or organization to influence or guide other individuals, teams or entire organizations.  Management is the administration of an organization, whether it is a business, a non-profit organization, or a government body.  It is the art and science of managing resources.  Management includes the activities of setting the strategy of an organization and coordinating the efforts of its employees (or of volunteers) to accomplish its objectives through the application of available resources, such as financial, natural, technological, and human resources.

The MSB Certificate in Leadership & Management is designed to empower individuals in the development of their leadership capacity and the acquisition of the requisite skill set to coordinate organizations.

This course is open to undergraduates, graduates and professionals across a wide range of industries.  The principles taught are applicable to any field of service and relevant to workers in the private and public sectors.

Participants will learn how to develop their own leadership approach, structure complex decision-making processes and make effective use of resources, enhance their organization’s strategic capacity, improve performance, initiate social innovation, and lead organizational change.
